About School
The School of Teacher Education was established with a view to provide quality inputs in education as a liberal discipline and Teacher Education in particular to pre –service or ‘would be’ teacher and development of academic output in education and special education . At present the school offers RCI recognized and UGC approved program Viz D.Ed. ,Spl. Ed. (V.I.), B.Ed , Spl.Ed. (H.I. /V.I.), M.A. in education and Ph.D.in Education.
The department has been conducting researches in the area of teaching and learning ,Teacher Education, Education of Learners with Diverse needs and Elementary education etc.
Key Highlights
There are several reasons why the School of Teacher Education is an ideal school for the students who wants to pursue studies in Education. A few reasons are listed as follows:
- To acquire knowledge about change in the prevailing and emerging Indian society in view of recent trends in education and national development.
- To identify the special needs of children and develop confidence in them to realize their potentials and abilities to meet the national development with self respect, dignity and freedom.
- To develop skills and competencies to cater to the needs of children with disabilities in general, and special class settings in particular, in cognitive, affective and skill domains.

With the Mission of creating world class infrastructure and world of knowledge par excellence OM Welfare Society was founded by Dr. Punit Goyal. The Department of Education was established with the objective of preparing professionally competent teacher who can take on the challenges of today’s changing realities in school and meet the growing expectations of trainees, Parents, School, Social, National and International.
We also emphasis on value oriented and quality sensitively with the aim of producing efficient teacher for society.

B.Ed. Special Education (H.I)
The B.Ed. Special Education(H.I.) programme aims to develop Special Education teachers/Educators for children with disabilities for various settings (including Inclusive, Special, Open School and Home Based Education). The B.Ed. Special Education (H.I.) programme will prepare human resources to enable them to acquire knowledge and develop competencies and skills to impart education and training effectively to children with disability as well as all other children and this being teachers for all children.
B.Ed. Special Education (V.I)
The B.Ed. (Special Education) programme aims to develop teachers for children with disabilities for various settings. The B.Ed. (Special Education) course will prepare human resources to enable them to acquire knowledge and develop competencies and skills to impart education and training effectively to all children including children with special needs.
B.Ed. Special Education (L.D)
The B.Ed. Special Education(L.D.) programme aims to develop Special Education teachers/Educators for children with disabilities for various settings (including Inclusive, Special, Open School and Home Based Education). Bachelor in Clinical Psychology (B.Clin. Psy)
The four year regular undergraduate course provides an overview of mental illnesses and the need of adequate sensitization in the community that can have significant impact on the society at large. The RCI approved course is developed to create adequate frontline mental health professionals to help in the early identification of any disability or disorder. The students will have exposure to the field of psychology and the roles and responsibilities of this profession.
Integrated B.Ed. – M.Ed. (SLD)
Integrated B.Ed. – M.Ed. (SLD) is a three-year integrated programme approved by NCTE which aims at preparing Teacher Educators through CTET/STET and NET focused curriculum and experiential based learning. It also aims to prepare instructional designers for industry. Specialization in either Elementary Education of Secondary /Senior Secondary Education is offered to the students

The Post Graduate Diploma in Rehabilitation Psychology programme will prepare human resources to enable them to acquire knowledge and develop competencies and skills to impart education and training effectively to children with disability as well as all other children and this being teachers for all children.
Master in Rehabilitation Psychology(M. Rehab. Psy)
Master in Rehabilitation Psychology (M. Rehab. Psy) is a two-year program with theoretical inputs and intensive practical skills in disability rehabilitation. The Master in Rehabilitation Psychology(M. Rehab. Psy) course will prepare human resources to enable them to acquire knowledge and develop competencies and skills to impart education and training effectively to all children including children with special needs.
Master in Clinical Psychology (M. Clin. Psy)
