Education Loan Assistance

Om Sterling Global University has always been concerned with the vision of supporting deserving and meritorious students by assisting them to avail financial assistance. We believe that no financial matter should restrain the way for pursuing their higher education. Nowadays, nearly all the banks are providing attractive loan facility to the students. And students can also avail loan from any bank of their choice. In order to combat the parents with the adverse financial problems, we are also involved greatly to cater the financial assistance need of the students by helping them in obtaining educational loans.

OSGU Student can pay Fee in Installments, Interest Free Loan Facility

It will also cover 100% insurance coverage of the students along with debit and credit card facilities and study material foe e-learning. Financepeer has extended its facility to the more than 22 lacs students from 6000 schools of more than 60 cities of India. The Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor of OSGU, Dr. N. P. Kaushik stated that this will help to carry out their studies for those those students who are facing financial difficulties in paying out course fees.

OSGU MOU with Financepeer

Om Sterling Global University has provided the EMI Facility for paying the fees to the students from the coming session. The COVID-19 pandemic has really proven a complex situation for the students in paying their course fess. Understanding this vary difficulty of the students, OSGU has signed an MOU with ‘Financepeer‘ which is a Google Incubated Company. The company will help students to clear their fee dues by availing educational loan with very lower interest based monthly installments.

The Role of the University

As far as the process of availing loan is concerned, the student himself arrange the personal documents as prescribed by the banks, we readily provide the admission offer letter to the student which is a very crucial document in availing loan facility. However, the students and their parents/guardians shall be responsible for obtaining sanction and repayment of the sanctioned loan and all kinds of liabilities and consequences arising thereof, if any. The University shall not be liable and responsible in this regard. However, students are open to choose bank of their own choice, but OSGU has tie ups with the following banks for assisting in availing educational loans.

The Vidyalakshmi Portal for Students

We are also creating awareness about the Vidyalakshmi portal for the benefit of all the students. Our prime motto here is not to deprive any student from taking education on account of facing finance related difficulties.Vidya Lakshmi is a portal which is devoted to the students seeking Education Loan. This portal has been developed under the supervision of Department of Financial Services (Ministry of Finance), Department of Higher Education (Ministry of Human Resource Development) and Indian Banks Association (IBA). This is the single window platform where a student can avail information on diverse schemes of educational loans among 34 leading banks. The portal helps students in accessing information about banks at their ease.

The student of OSGU willing to apply for education loan have to first  register at https://www.vidyalakshmi.co.in/Students/ and after login, he/she has to fill-up the Common Education Loan Application Form (CELAF) by providing all the necessary details. After filling the form, the applicant can search for Educational Loan and APPLY as per his/her needs, eligibility and convenience. Just by filling up a single common education loan application form, students can apply to 3 banks of his/her choice at one time.

The Vidyasaarathi Portal for Students

Vidyasaarathi is also a technology-enabled initiative by NSDL e-Governance Infrastructure Limited (NSDL e-Gov.) that helps the students to get solution related to submission and review of scholarship application, award of scholarship, disbursement of funds, and renewal of scholarships. This portal seeks to empower the fund providers as well as students to develop an ecosystem that benefits all stakeholders.

Helping guidelines for Economically Weaker Section (EWS)

The students from economically weaker section (EWS) can visit the following guidelines which are related to the central government scheme regarding the dispersal of education loan along with interest subsidy for the period of moratorium on Educational Loans taken by students.
