Admission FAQ’s

The Om Group of Institutions (OGI) has been a provider of world class education since 2008. It started its operation with two colleges and spread its wings within a very short span of time. It is the leading educational institute based in Hisar (Haryana). The Om Group of Institutions was further converted into a University in the year 2019 with the name Om Sterling Global University.

Om Sterling Global University has been provided with the registration under section 2(f) of UGC Act, 1956 by University Grants Commission. The university is duly approved and recognized by UGC after a very detailed point specific inspection of all our physical infrastructural along with potential of moving ahead with the time.

Om Sterling Global University has been established through an Act of Haryana Legislature and also as approved by UGC, it does not require approval letter from AICTE.

Yes, all the courses which are being run in every school of OSGU have been approved by their respective concerned authority and legislative body. For more details, plz visit the accreditation and approval section.

Yes but not mandatory, applicants who possess the minimum eligibility to take admission in concerned course will be required to appear for OSGUSAT (Om Sterling Global University Scholarship Admission Test) if they want to avail the scholarship based on their academic performance to be judged by this test. For more details about this exam, you can visit the OSGUSAT section on this website.

However, if you have qualified any other course related entrance exams like(MAT/CAT/CLAT) you may be exempted from appearing in the entrance examination on the discretion of the University.

On the date of appointment/walk-in, applicants will be required to bring the following documents:

  • Common Application Form
  • Photocopy of 10th marksheet
  • Photocopy of 12th marksheet
  • Photocopy of qualifying examination (12th/Diploma/Bachelor mark sheet /Post Graduate mark sheet)
  • Photocopy of any ID Proof (Voter Card/ Aadhar Card/ Pan Card/DL etc.)
  • 5 Photo passport size
  • Character certificate (in original)
  • Migration certificate (in original)
  • Medical Fitness Certificate (in original)

The above list of documents is general in nature. Some other documents related to particular course of study can also be asked to submit at the time of admission for which allowance of time (if required) can also be permitted.

Students coming from different parts of the country as well as abroad, are provided comfortable stay in the University Hostels. We at OSGU, always stresses upon the comfortable stay of all our national and international students. The hostels (separate hostels for boys and girls) are surrounded by lush green eco-friendly environment and designed in a way that stimulates the study and extra-curricular activities in the campus. We provide all the real aspects of life in the hostel such as newspapers and books, culture based meal and food, safe drinking water, round the clock water supply, etc. Separate AC/Non-AC hostel for boys and girls with furnished rooms are available for more than 3,000 students, in Single/Double/Triple sharing basis.

The hostel rooms to students are allotted on first-cum-first basis and are subject to availability of room along with the payment of hostel fee.

However, there are very rarest cases when you will find any problem during your stay at hostel but still if there is some, you can inform the Hostel Warden/Asst. Hostel Warden of the problems you are facing in the hostel.

Yes, we at OSGU follow a policy of ‘Zero Tolerance’ for ragging within and outside the campus.

The fleet of ultra-modern buses and cabs facilitates students and staff to commute to and from Hisar, Sirsa, Bhiwani, Fatehabad, Jind, Narwana, Uklana, Tohana, Barwala, Hansi and all the nearby areas on paid basis. The transport facility is provided within a radius of about 90 kms.

The campus has a seamless Wi-Fi network with more than 20 Mbps leased line with multiple ISP which allows student to get connected on the net any time, any-where be it hostel, college campus, library, cafeteria etc.

The state-of-the-art Libraries located in various Schools of the Om Sterling Global University remains open on all days on working time from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM and up to 12-14 hours a day (subject to approval) during examinations. One Air-Conditioned Central Library is also available for the student to make their studies more comfortable. The library issues 4 books at a time to students on 14 days re-issue basis.

After admission, you need to go to your respective school for attending the classes.

The university ID card will be issued by IT department and It will take at least 10 days after your admission in your concerned school.

You will have to pay a nominal charges and a new ID card will be issued within 4 days of submission of payment for new ID card.

However, the process of ID card is done on the basis of personal checking and verification of the student concerned, still if there is some mistake you can get a fresh ID card. For this you need to write an application indicating correction(s) needed in the card and submit it in IT Dept. A fresh ID card will be issued within 4 days of submission of application.

All results are available on University website osgu.ac.in. Click on “Student Login” and enter your login credentials which will be shared at the time you register IT department/ ERP Cell.
