  1. Lab Basics of Information Technology (BIT)Lab: A basic knowledge is a strong foundation for every any discipline. BIT has been included in the course curriculum to provide the fundamental knowledge of computers in the initial course module for every trade. BIT lab contains volumes of latest and updated software. Here the ‘C’ language programming is practiced so as to inculcate among students a way to interact and understand the way a computer works. Many applications are written in C including the compilers for other programming languages.
  2. Lab Data Structure & Advanced Data Structure Lab: This lab serves as a guide for learning and implementing the data structure in a programming language. It basically deals with memory management and various other operations on data with algorithm analysis and design. It helps to implement new algorithm or modify the existing ones according to the requirement. The Lab is well equipped with all advanced software for practical applications. The aim of the course is to teach students abstract data types and dynamic data structures. Students use different type of data structures to model real world aggregations of data.
  3. Lab Database & Advanced Management System Lab: A database management system (DBMS) is computer application software that provides a way to manage data. The requirement of modern days is to have an automated system that manages, modifies and updates data accurately. This is achieved by a DBMS in robust, correct and non-redundant way. DBMS lab aims at practicing and achieving this aim by using various software such as SQL, ORACLE, and MS – Access etc. All these require a thorough practice of various DDl, DCL and DML queries.
  4. Lab Object Oriented Programming Lab: C++ is one of the most widely used programming language. Its features (abstraction, encapsulation. Data hiding etc) and flexibility have made it still the leading choice for most of the areas of application, especially in the software development environment. This lab emphasizes on the regular curriculum materials as well as some advanced real-life applications implemented as practicals. These practicals, written in the spirit of learning by doing, are designed to give students a working knowledge of the C++ programming language.
  5. Lab Java Programming Lab: The Java Programming Language is a general-purpose, concurrent, strongly typed, class-based object-oriented language. The aim of this lab is to help students learn Java Programming step by step. It is compiled to the bytecode (platform independent code) instruction set and binary format defined in the Java Virtual Machine Specification. The latest Java Development Kit (JDK) has been installed with all the new features that support advanced programming. JAVA has always been the best choice for most of the mobile applications.
  6. Lab Computer graphics Lab: This lab provides students a found understanding of basic concepts of computer graphics and the need of developing graphic applications. Progress in this field is attained by interactivity, realism, and flexibility. The Computer Graphics Lab focuses on research in curve and surface design, rendering, perception, and user interfaces. In this lab student understand and learn the need of developing graphic applications, concept of color generation, representation and transformation of graphical images and pictures and algorithmic development of graphic primitives.

Lab Computer Networks Lab: Networking is a key area in the field of computers that deals with the physical connectivity of computers which is co-ordinates and monitored by a combination of special hardware and software. The course curriculum provides from the coverage of basics to advanced applications and services, while providing a platform for hands-on practical experience and soft-skills enhancement. Covering the networking concepts, the lab work consists of a top-down, theoretical, and integrated approach.
  8. Lab UNIX and LINUX Programming Lab: UNIX and LINUX programming lab introduces an overview and use of UNIX and LINUX operating system. The students are familiarized with Unix/Linux commands, vi editor, Bash shell to develop simple shell programs, development of advanced shell programs using grep, fgrep & egrep etc. the lab work also emphasises on creation and maintenance of user accounts, lea package installation, taking backups, creation of scripts for file and user management, creation of startup and shutdown scripts using at, cron etc.
  9. Lab Visual Programming Lab: Visual Basic provides an environment called the IDE (Integrated Development Environment) that provides a platform for visual programming. With the user diversion towards graphical user interfaces, computer programming languages are also changing. Visual Basic is graphical user interface programming language which has a bulk of inbuilt user friendly tools for understanding programming language concepts. Visual Basic helps to enhance the intellectual and motor skills of students. The course content is designed to understand and implement the event driven requirement of user and providing a solution via Visual Basic Programming.
  10. Lab Object Oriented S/W System Design Lab using UML: UML is a language that understands, specifies, constructs and documents the requirements of a software intensive system. The basic aim of this is to create a detailed understanding of the OOPS concepts with their application in UML along with mapping to various programming languages..It provides to a way to represent the software intensive system in a standardized manner. In software development, UML is utilized to create the logical general view of software.
  1. Lab Microprocessor Lab: Microprocessor lab indulges students into the study of architecture, programming and interfacing of various microprocessors and micro-controllers. This lab is useful not only for electronics, but also for other trades of engineering and helps to develop skills in the field of microprocessors and their applications. This lab helps the students in project work and to know about the latest trends and technologies. The students are trained on 8085, 8086 and other trainer kits.
  2. Lab Digital Electronics Lab: Digital Electronics lab makes students aware of different types of designs, such as sequential logic circuits, combinational logic circuits, trouble shooting of various digital systems & study of various digital systems. Study of basic electronics & digital techniques is as a base for understanding theory and practical of the subject. The lab work focuses on study of facts, concepts, and principles, design operation of combinational logic circuit, sequential logic circuits and digital instruments.
  3. Lab Digital Signal Processing (DSP) Lab: Digital Signal Processing is used in a number of applications. It aims at providing knowledge for the basic signal-processing principles necessary to understand many modern high-tech systems, with digital-communications examples. This lab involves the teaching of various key DSP concepts such as functions (impulse function, sinusoidal function, exponential functions etc) and study of sinusoidal signal, sampled signal and Discrete Fourier transform etc. MATLAB software is used for simulation and designing purpose. The goal of DSP is usually to measure, filter and/or compress continuous real-world analog signals.
  4. Lab Semiconductor Devices & Circuits Lab:The semiconductor devices and Circuit laboratory is the most important aspect of the modern curriculum in electronics engineering education. In this lab students are taught about various semiconductor devices such as Diodes, bipolar and field-effect transistors, amplifier, thyristor, passive components, and even integrated circuits devices. This lab needs a lot of theoretical knowledge with concentration to implement the various practicals prescribed by University.

Lab VHDL Language Lab: VHDL (VHSIC hardware description language) is a language that has been designed to describe the behavior of digital systems and electronics components (logic gates, microprocessor etc.).In this lab the programming practice and understanding of decoders,, multiplexer,binary numbers counter etc is done. It provides the opportunity to the students to show their versatility via programming. The logic circuits are designed and tested by using simulation program.
  6. Lab Audio Visual Electronics Lab: The aim of Audio and Video Lab is to provide the knowledge about concept of visualization of various electronics equipment. The lab provides a good practice on PCB’S, various sections of color T.V., VCD player, Camcorder’s etc.The students are provided with various equipment and kits for performing the practicals individually.
  7. Lab Linear Integrated Circuits & Application: This lab has been installed with the objective to enhance the teaching and learning processes of Linear Integrated Circuits. The laboratory manual has been framed in such a way that it fills up the gap between in theory and practical work. This lab focuses on study of various circuits using operational amplifier and timer IC-555.
  1. Lab Electrical Technology Lab: Electrical Technology lab provides the basic knowledge of Electrical engineering. Lab provides information about different electrical supply systems, electrical machines and appliances. It makes the students understand and apply the fundamentals of electrical engineering and machines used in different systems, measure various electrical quantities and able to do routine maintenance. In this lab students can identify different types of motors and select appropriate drive for the industrial load.
  2. Lab Electrical Machines Lab: The electrical machine laboratory is intended specifically to meet the needs of modern courses in Electrical Machines. This Lab Concerns with an electrical machine’s types (DC and AC machines), power, efficiency, characteristics of electrical machines as a motor, generator, determining the parameter and performance characteristics of transformer, methods of control the speed of motor, and control the voltage of generator. Through hands-on experiments with real machines, students gain practical experience on transformers and various types of machine drives. The laboratory can also be used for project work related to electrical machines and energy conversion.
  3. Lab Electrical Workshop: This is a core course for Electrical Engineering students. The scope of this course covers different modules that are designed to make the students familiar with different electrical equipment’s along with carefully compiled assignments and home works to further enhance their practical skills. This lab provides the basic knowledge about the various electrical tools such as plier, screw driver, wire stripper etc. In addition to this, the subject also consists of modules of machining, electric wiring and smart panels design that reflect good aesthetic sense.
  4. Lab Power System Lab: Power Systems Laboratory is part of the Energy Transmission and High Voltage Laboratory of the Department of Electrical Engineering. Students can get concrete ideas about the different system operations and phenomena with application of advanced tools. Lab is equipped with different facilities for under voltage, overcurrent differential and other different relays. In This Laboratory students can analyze and design of electric and integrated energy systems including their planning, design and operation.

Lab Electrical Measurements & Measuring Instruments Lab: The objective of this lab is to fortify the students with an adequate work experience in the measurement of different quantities and also the expertise in handling the instruments involved. Measurement skills are very important for any Engineering lab. Measurement accuracy is one of the key parameters in industrial development. One of the major objectives of this lab is to familiarize the students with the proper equipment and different techniques for making electrical measurements. This lab includes the measurement of voltage, current and power etc by using different measuring instruments like Voltmeter, Ammeter and Multimeter etc.
  6. Lab Control System Lab: In the field of modern Science Engineering, more machines are controlled without any human assistance. Students are usually unable to relate the theory to applications in the real world. Therefore, different experiments are designed in control system. This Lab makes an integrated lab atmosphere that combines data acquisition and analysis. This lab includes the study of temperature and speed control of motor, circuit implementation of controllers, mathematical modelling and simulation of control systems.
  7. Lab Power Electronics lab: Power electronics is an important area of Electrical Engineering. It broadly deals with controlling the flow of electrical power using electronics switching devices. Power Electronics lab introduces the student to measurement and simulation of important operating characteristics of power electronic circuits and power semiconductor devices. It also provides experience with common components such as motors, batteries, magnetic devices, and power semiconductors. Students find simple and effective solutions to fundamental and persistent engineering problems.
  8. Lab Electric Drives Lab : Electric drives play an utmost important role in modern industrial applications and electric transportation. This laboratory is equipped with modern experiment set-ups for undergraduates taking the Power Converters & Drives course. Lab includes the design and control of unique permanent-magnet brushless drives, the development of novel permanent-magnet hybrid brushless drives, the optimization and control of switched reluctance drives, and the design and control of new soft-switching inverter-fed induction drives.
  1. Lab Strength of Material: The strength of materials deals with the study of materials used in structural applications. In this laboratory, students are provided with the opportunity to apply loads to various materials under different equilibrium conditions and keep deformation within acceptable limits. Tests on materials in tension, torsion, bending, and buckling are also performed. Material behavior is monitored during testing and for any type of destructive testing, fracture zone and material behavior observations are a key element.
  2. Lab Fluid mechanics: This practical work determines the viscosity and mass density of an unknown fluid. Viscosity is that property of fluid which provides an indication of the resistance to shear within a fluid. A stopwatch is used to determine readings on a viscometer and hence note the rate of drop of various spheres within the fluid. The laboratory work includes a close and deep examination of the theoretical analysis of fluid dynamics.
  3. Lab Heat Transfer Lab: Heat transfer has various aspects such as conduction, convection and radiation. This lab aims at providing practical in-depth knowledge about various modes of Heat transfer in same metals, different metal and water. The equipments in the lab are used to calculate heat transfer co-efficient and constants. The lab work includes Determination of Electiveness of a Heat exchanger, Determination of Stefan-Boltzmann constant, Performance of Solar still, Determination of critical heat flux, Performance of solar water heater etc.
  4. Lab Kinematics of Machine/Dynamics of Machine Lab: Kinematics deals with the motion of points, bodies and systems of bodies. Motion in kinematics is defined as study of trajectories of points, lines and other geometric objects and their differential properties.. Kinematics is used in astrophysics to describe the motion of celestial bodies. The lab work includes determining modulus of rigidity, value of coefficient of friction,displacement, velocity and acceleration by shaft etc.
  5. Lab Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Lab: Refrigeration is a part and parcel of everyday life. This lab provides knowledge about different needs, uses and working of Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning. The lab work includes study of various vapour compression refrigeration cycles, various performance parameters on blower apparatus and cooling tower .the practical knowledge aims at complete grasping up of various devices with their use and working

Lab Computer aided design and manufacturing Lab: This lab helps students to inculcate the fundamentals of applications of computers in various stages of design, analysis and manufacturing of components. CAD/CAM lab is equipped with advanced software and hardware. The 3-D models are designed with innovation using Pro-Engineer and various other mechanical engineering softwares like AutoCAD etc.
  7. Lab Production Technology Lab: It teaches the advanced manufacturing process in Mechanical and Production engineering. It basically deals with the process of chip formation. The Advanced Manufacturing Processes provide a pathway the Mechanical engineers in various industrial situations. This lab work covers areas of Milling, Gear hobbing, grinding, working of CNC, lathe machine and boring etc.

  2. Lab Structure Mechanics Lab: This lab is the latest one in this field. It provides the knowledge of structures to calculate force, deflection, behaviour and stress with applied mechanics of beams, arches, trusses and frames for loadings. The load calculation is compared with measured results. The lab work includes deflection using a simply supported beam, truss, horizontal deflection & vertical deflection of various joints of a pin- jointed truss, behaviour of struts, elastic properties of beam, Uniaxial tension test for steel and compression test.
  3. Lab Soil Mechanics & Geotechnology Lab: Soil Mechanics and Geotechnology Laboratory in Civil engineering determines the engineering and physical properties of soil. The engineering properties include compressibility, permeability, and consolidation, shear strength and bearing capacity of soil, whereas the physical properties include gravity, density, moisture, consistency limits and shrinkage limits. All these properties are necessary for robust design of structural foundations. This laboratory is well furnished with new and modern facilities and equipment for soil experiments and soil investigation. This course curriculum helps the students gain practical knowledge about the theoretical concepts studied in Geotechnical Engineering.
  4. Lab Concrete Lab: In the Concrete technology lab, the physical properties of various building construction materials (cement, coarse, steel, wood etc.) are studied. Various tests are performed in the laboratory to determine the properties of concrete materials for specific gravity, normal consistency, workability and fineness etc.The students test and find the perfect concrete blend for a durable. construction. The mix of material proportion is carried out to maintain integrity.
  5. Lab Transportation Lab: This lab deals with a detailed study and understanding of coarse aggregates and bitumen. The lab work includes tests for impact, abrasion, attrition test and crushing strength for coarse aggregate and tests for penetration, ductility, viscosity, softening point and flash and fire point for bitumen. The students learn to find the perfect mix for construction of roads. Frequent visits are arranged for students at highway construction site.
  6. Lab Fluid Mechanics Lab: This lab provides a way to determine the various parameters related to fluid flow in pipes and in open channels. In this lab, the characteristics of pumps and turbines are also studied. This lab work involves determining the viscosity and mass density of fluids. friction factor, minor loss coefficients, and coefficient of discharge of constriction meters, orifices, mouth pieces, notches and weirs, characteristics of flow profiles and hydraulic jump and characteristics of pumps and turbines and verification of momentum theorem are thereby studied and experimented in the lab.
  7. Lab Environmental Engineering Laboratory: The objective of this laboratory is to inculcate among students environmental awareness determine by making them aware of qualities of water and waste water, quality of air and noise characteristics. PH, turbidity, conductivity, and impurities in water and BOD, DO and COD of waste water and pollution level of air and noise. The aim of this lab is to portrait environmental engineering testing procedures.
  8. Lab Computer Aided Design Laboratory: The Computer aided design Lab provides an environment to the students of Civil engineering an automated way of designing and drafting the structures. Numerous softwares are available which facilitates the numerical work of various calculations and estimations. The softwares provide inbuilt tools for analysis and design of structures, drawing of structures, construction management, design of foundations, water resources, transportation and environmental management, remote sensing and Geographical information System (GIS) application. Softwares like CAD, STADD PRO, STRUDS etc provide a platform for civil engineering innovations by the students.
