A Day of Passionate Performances, Melodic Brilliance, and Artistic Expression!
As the 38th AIU North-West Zone Youth Festival 2025 at Om Sterling Global University (OSGU), Hisar entered its second day; the stage was set for a dazzling array of performances across multiple categories. With 23 universities coming together, the spirit of art, culture, and literature was felt in every corner of the university.
The day was marked by thrilling competitions in theatre, music, and visual arts, with students pouring their hearts into their performances. From riveting one-act plays to enchanting classical vocal renditions, from fiery elocution debates to striking poster designs, the energy and enthusiasm in the atmosphere were contagious. Each university carried its unique artistic legacy, striving to leave an everlasting impact on this prestigious festival.

One-Act Play – Theatrical Brilliance on Display
Dramatic storytelling took center stage in the One-Act Play competition, where universities presented gripping social, historical, and contemporary themes. OSGU Hisar, Bhagat Phool Singh Mahila Vishwavidyalaya, C.R.S.U Jind, Vivekananda Global University, Ch. Bansilal University, NIILM University, GJU Hisar, CDLU, KUK, Banasthali University, Indira Gandhi Meerpur, Jai Narain Vyas University, MDU Rohtak, and MDSU Ajmer showcased exceptional performances filled with powerful narratives, strong emotions, and commanding stage presence.
Each play was a thought-provoking spectacle, leaving audiences inspired and judges awestruck. The students’ dedication and passion for theatre and storytelling resonated deeply with every spectator, proving that the art of drama is alive and thriving in Indian universities.

Mime – Expressions Beyond Words
The Mime competition witnessed a mesmerizing display of silent storytelling as students from OSGU, Bhagat Phool Singh Mahila Vishwavidyalaya, University of Delhi, C.R.S.U JIND
, University of Kota, Ch. Bansilal University, Maharishi Markandeshwar University, GJU Hisar, CDLU, KUK, Banasthali University, Indira Gandhi Meerpur, MDU Rohtak, and MDSU Ajmer communicated deep emotions and impactful narratives without uttering a single word.
Each performance used precise gestures, body language, and expressions to depict social issues, humor, and heartwarming tales, captivating the audience and earning standing ovations.

Western Group Song – A Symphony of Voices
The Western Group Song competition brought forth a musical wave of harmony and rhythm, with teams performing soul-stirring renditions of pop, rock, acapella, and fusion music. Universities including Om Sterling Global University, C.R.S. University, Apejay Stya University, Ch. Bansilal University, GJU Hisar, CDLU, KUK, Banasthali University, Indira Gandhi Meerpur, MDU Rohtak, and MDSU Ajmer filled the auditorium with magical melodies and breathtaking vocal synchronizations.
With perfect stage presence and musical expertise, each team uplifted the audience’s spirit, making the competition an electrifying musical showdown.

The Classical Vocal Solo competition was a divine experience, with students showcasing the soul of Hindustani and Carnatic classical music. Universities like University of Delhi, C.R.S. University, Apejay Stya University, Vivekananda Global University, University of Kota, Ch. Bansilal University, GJU Hisar, CDLU, KUK, Banasthali University, Indira Gandhi Meerpur, Jai Narain Vyas University, MDU Rohtak, and MDSU Ajmer presented exceptional renditions of traditional ragas with perfect control, deep emotional expression, and technical brilliance.
The powerful and soulful vocals transported the audience into a world of musical excellence, earning these performers admiration and applause.

Classical Instrumental Solo – Strings & Rhythms of Excellence
In the Classical Instrumental Solo (Percussion and Non-Percussion) category, students from University of Delhi, C.R.S. University, Apejay Stya University, Vivekananda Global University, University of Kota, Ch. Bansilal University, GJU Hisar, CDLU, KUK, Banasthali University, Indira Gandhi Meerpur, Jai Narain Vyas University, MDU Rohtak, and MDSU Ajmer displayed extraordinary control over instruments like tabla, veena, sitar, and flute.
The rhythmic beats of percussion instruments resonated deeply, while the delicate melodies of string instruments mesmerized the audience. The performances were a true testament to the dedication and mastery of Indian classical music traditions.

In the Elocution competition, students from OSGU, Bhagat Phool Singh Mahila Vishwavidyalaya, University of Delhi, C.R.S.U JIND, Apejay Stya University, Vivekananda Global University, University of Kota, Ch. Bansilal University, GJU Hisar, CDLU, KUK, Banasthali University, Indira Gandhi Meerpur, Jai Narain Vyas University, MDU Rohtak, MDSU Ajmer, Central university of Haryana, and GD Goenka University delivered persuasive and thought-provoking speeches on topics ranging from social justice and cultural diversity to leadership and innovation.

The Fine Arts competitions saw students turning ideas into visual masterpieces in Cartooning, Collage, and Poster Making. University, Apejay Stya University, Vivekananda Global University, University of Kota, Ch.
