The 38th AIU North West Zone (five-day) Youth Festival 2025 was inaugurated with great pomp at Om Sterling Global University (OSGU) under the aegis of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). On the first day, students from 23 universities of North-West India gave a wonderful presentation of art and culture. The program began with the Managers Meet at 9:30 a.m, during which the order for the competitions to be held throughout the festival was decided through a digital draw.The Vice Chancellor of the University addressed all the managers and told them about the organization of Yuva Mahotsav and their role. The program was inaugurated by the Chief Guest Hon’ble Governor Shri Bandaru Dattatreya (Haryana), who underlined the importance of this festival and motivated the youth to hone their talents. He motivated everyone by saying that today Om University has become the fastest growing university in India, which has been playing an significant role in the field of education for the last five years.Special guests Mr. Mark Fezi (Indo German Chamber of Commerce for Green Energy), Mr. Randhir Panihar (MLA Gangwa), Dr. Mamta R. Agarwal (Additional Secretary AIU), Dr. Obiorah Cynthia Amaka (University of Port Harcourt, Nigeria) were also present in the grand event. They encouraged the students with their inspiring words. Each university took out a grand cultural procession based on its art and culture, in which last year’s winner Vanasthali University, Rajasthan performed first and the procession ended with a wonderful performance by the host of the youth festival, Om Sterling Global University (OSGU).Honorable Chancellor of the University Dr. Puneet Goyal welcomed and congratulated the visiting universities, jury members and students adding that the students are fortunate to be a part of this Inter University Youth Festival. The right amalgamation of culture and education strengthens the identity of a nation, and this festival will also help in the personality development of the students. Pro-Chancellor Dr. Poonam Goyal motivated the students and said that the youth festival is a great way to learn the qualities of self-confidence, leadership ability and teamwork. She further added that along with education, the activities like youth festival provides them a platform to *embrace and perform art and culture.
During this youth festival, students will get to learn a lot of new things. OSGU always organizes cultural programs from time to time to promote the creativity and talent of the students.
University Vice Chancellor Dr. N.P. Kaushik while addressing the youth said that art and culture are the mirror of any society, and through this festival we are further enriching the tradition of Indian art and culture. University Vice Chancellor Dr. Rajendra Singh Chhillar said that through such events, students get an opportunity to explore new possibilities in their field and hone their skills.Dr. Rakesh Dhiman, Organizing Secretary of Yuva Mahotsav welcomed all the universities coming from outside and said that this festival is not just a platform but it is a unique effort to make students aware of the diversity of art and culture. After the inaugural ceremony, a folk orchestra was organized in which talented artists from Kurukshetra University (KUK), Guru Jambheshwar University, Hisar (GJU), Chaudhary Bansi Lal University, Bhiwani (CBLU), Vivekanand Global University, Jaipur (VGU), MDU Rohtak (MDU), Maharaja Dayanand Saraswati University, Ajmer (MDSU), and CDLU, Sirsa (CDLU) enthralled the audience with their stage performances.In this youth festival, the participants will get national recognition and special benefits in government jobs and scholarships, which will make their future even brighter. This grand event of Om Sterling Global University not only worked to enhance the talent of the students, but also gave the message of taking forward the rich cultural heritage of India. In the coming days, exciting competitions like classical and folk dance, theatre, debate, fine arts, solo and group singing will be organized, in which participants from universities of North-West India will showcase their best art.
