About us: Overview-
OSGU was established under the Haryana Private Universities Act-2006 and is recognized under section 2(f) of the UGC Act-1956. The university aims to achieve its goals through academic excellence across various fields of knowledge. Its vision emphasizes producing globally acceptable professionals through internationally benchmarked academic practices and applied research while incorporating ancient Indian ethos and values.
The university’s campus spans over 50 acres and boasts modern infrastructure and a lush green environment conducive to learning. OSGU offers a wide range of educational programs, with more than 190 programs available across 15 schools covering various disciplines including the School of Vocational Studies. To further enhance employability and career prospects, the university offers short-term diploma and certificate courses alongside its regular academic programs. These courses are designed to provide students with specialized skills that can lead to better job opportunities and entrepreneurship.

Details of Academic Programs-
Academic process is about maintaining high standards and quality in the academic element of the university. It covers all areas of academic from proper handling of students/ lecturers/teachers, professional development and careful production/reproduction of the materials as well as cross functionality. The university has over 300 faculties with maximum having NET, PhD and Post-Graduation. The university utilizes ERP, LMS and CMS to provide the contemporary standards of education. Fortunately, the university has state of the art academic blocks with appropriate IT based facilities to render higher education to millennium children/students. Our academics are a mix of techniques such as continual, remedial, contemporary and futuristic such as Bloom Taxonomy, Flip Class Room and Mentor oriented etc. The students are provided with the recorded lectures as well as rare videos to understand the topic with more logical mindset.

The library, (One main & 4 dept. based – 10,000 Sq.ft, capacity of 700 readers, 24×7) houses a collection of 1.25 lacs volumes spread over 20,000 titles along with web based e-library. Admission process and guidelines
ADMISSION POLICY
- A student shall be eligible for admission to any course of study offered by the University if she/he fulfills the eligibility criteria as mentioned in the University Prospectus and follows the admission process prescribed by the University for the Particular Course of study.
- A student shall also be eligible for admission to any course of study of this University on migration from any other University or Board if she/he has passed an examination equivalent to the examination of this University prescribed by the Ordinances for admission to the concerned course of this University: For transfer of credits please refer to Ordinance (Transfer of Credits) of the University available at the website.
- Application form for admission to the various programs offered by University may be obtained from the admission office or downloaded from the website.
- Admission of students shall be made strictly on the basis of merit adjudged through All-India Common Entrance Test or through OM Sterling Global University Entrance Test/Merit/Viva/Personal Interview or a combination of these.
- The Entrance Examination shall be held at University campus and/or other such places as notified by the University from time to time.
- Minimum qualifications for admission to the programs in various Departments have been prescribed and are available in information brochure/University website.
- Only such candidates who have passed an examination of an Indian University/ Board established or recognized by State/Central Government or such other examination as has been recognized equivalent by State/Central Government/ University shall be considered for admission.
- Admissions to the various programs of studies shall be made by the Admission Committee of the concerned Department comprising of the Dean/ HOD as Chairman, and two members nominated by the Vice Chancellor.
- The syllabi, format, duration, scheme of evaluation of the entrance examination will be as decided time to time by the University.
- The University shall follow reservation policy prescribed by the State Government for private universities for admissions to various courses.
- If, at any time, it is discovered that a candidate has made a false or incorrect statement or other fraudulent means have been used for securing admission her/his name will be removed from the rolls of the University.
- Minimum of 25% seats for admission in the University will be reserved for students of the State of Haryana.
- The students shall deposit fees as prescribed by the University from time to time on or before the date fixed by the University.
- Admission process involves the following steps:
- Filling up of application form for admission on prescribed Performa and a payment of Rs. 750/- for Diploma/UG and Rs. 1000/- for PG courses as an application fee.
- Appearing in Om Sterling Global University Entrance Examination followed by GD/PI at a centre fixed by the University, wherever applicable.
- The following documents are required to be submitted at the time of depositing the fee:
- Self attested copies of 10th, 12th, UG and PG mark sheets (as applicable).
- Self attested copies of qualifying examination/entrance examination, whichever applicable.
- Proof of residence.
- Passport size photographs (4 Pcs.).
- Photocopy of AADHAR Card.

- The fee concession for the 25% of the students who are domicile of Haryana shall be based on merit-cum-means and be as follows:
- One fifth of the 25% will be granted full tuition fee concession.

- The balance two fifth of the 25% will be granted
- 25% tuition fee concession.

The comprehensive research infrastructure and collaborations showcase a dedication to fostering a thriving research environment. The University collaborates with research agencies and other universities to enhance research opportunities, joint projects, and shared resources. Besides state of the art labs, workshops, regents and equipments, the university has a policy to replace the equipments frequently with modern make so that the researchers can have the contemporary and futuristic experiments. The university’s well written policy to support teachers; financially as well as with lesser work load provides a conducive environment. The university applies for various Govt./Industry oriented Projects.

Central Facilities
Om Sterling Global University, Hisar is actively involved in research activities. To create an eco-system of research in the university, the Research Development Cell (RDC) is established as per the UGC guidelines. To promote and motivate the faculty towards the research activities a Research Promotion Policy is in place and provide incentives for publishing good quality papers, applying for research projects, organising and attending Conference, Seminar, Workshops and FDPs, etc.
Our faculty members are currently working on three industry sponsored research projects, in the area of Pharmacy and Engineering & Technology. Our faculty members also have applied for 6 projects to DST for getting the sponsorship and financial assistance.
A separate research section is functioning in the university. The university is offering Ph.D in about 44 programmes since 2019. University has about 70% faculty members as Ph.D holders and all are involved in guiding the research scholars. Presently more than 500 research scholars are enrolled with university in different areas. Many of the research scholars have completed their Ph.D recently.
University has adequate computing and laboratories facilities for carrying out the research work.
Our faculty members have published about 250 research papers in pear reviewed journal as output of research work carried out by the research scholars under their guidance. The details have been enclosed in annexure.
University is regularly organising the National/ International level Conferences, Workshops, FDPs, Webinars etc. Some of them have been organised in collaboration with national or international universities. The details are also provided in relevant annexure.
The faculty of Agriculture is involved in developing cost effective Mushroom farming, preparation Vermicompost. They are also involved in educating the farmers of nearby areas about new technologies and other aspects of farming.
The faculty of special education is also involved in organising Awareness Programmes in nearby villages, Juglan, Dhiktana, Dhansu, Talwandi & Bugana, like Drug Deaddiction, Corona Awareness and Mask Distribution, Mental Health, Eye- Check-up Camp, Health Check-up of Villagers, awareness on Autism, Computer Literacy and Nukkad Natak for cleanliness, hearing problems.

Sports facilities
Having a spacious playground of over 8000 square meters and Indoor-Outdoor Gyms are significant assets for the University. It provides students with ample space to engage in various indoor and outdoor sports, promoting physical fitness, teamwork, and healthy competition. The students get opportunity to participate at regional/national and international level based on their performance. The students of the university have won many medals in the national games & competitions organized by Govt. of India/State Govt. and Associations.

Hostel details (wherever applicable)
The University has mainly three hostels two of them are for Boys namely “Tagore Hostel” with a capacity of 380 students, Kalam Hostel with a capacity of 170 students and one for Girls in the name of “Kalpana Chawala” with a capacity of 250 students. All the common facilities are available in hostels like Separate Mess, Warden House, Parents Meeting Room, Guest Room, Common Room, Water Cooler with RO/Geyser, WI-FI facility for each student, TV Room, Magazine Section, Game Room and Reading Room.
Placement Cell and its activities
The University has a full-fledged Training & Placement Department headed by an exclusive Dean to support the students in grooming and to keep them industry ready through various trainings and engagement in the placements drive. The department also conducts an annual ‘Pool Campus’ for the university students as well as the nearby colleges’ students. The Department has an impressive track record of placing the students.

Health facilities
The University has a comprehensive setup for medical care and health facilities at its campus to ensure the safety and health of their community members.
- Medical Facilities: The University operates its own health care centre, which is overseen by the School of Health Sciences. This centre is equipped with well-qualified medical doctors and supporting staff in 24×7 systems.
- Pharmacy: The University also has its own pharmacy, managed by the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences. This pharmacy is responsible for dispensing medications and providing pharmaceutical services to the campus community.
- Tie ups with nearby Hospitals: The University arranges tie-ups with the nearby hospitals with comparatives rate card for the university community.
