Programme Objectives

The Bachelor of Fine Arts degree program at OSGU’s School of Performing and Fine Arts (SPF) has the following program objectives.

  • To build and refine skills in drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, and applied art.
  • To develop creativity, imagination, and personal artistic expression.
  • To understand art history, theory, and contemporary practices.
  • To promote hands-on learning through studio work, exhibitions, and projects.
  • To prepare students for professional careers in art, design, education, or creative industries.

Programme Outcomes

The Fine Arts programme enables students to develop strong technical skills in Painting, Sculpture, Drawing, Printmaking, and Applied Arts. They learn to express creative ideas with originality and personal style, while understanding the historical, cultural, and theoretical contexts of visual art. Through studio practice and the use of both traditional and digital tools, students gain confidence in their artistic abilities. The programme also builds critical thinking, visual communication, and presentation skills, preparing graduates for careers as professional artists, designers, educators, curators, or creative entrepreneurs.

Career Path

A degree in Fine Arts, whether at the BFA or MFA level, offers students a strong foundation in creative disciplines such as Drawing, Painting, Sculpture, Printmaking, and Applied Arts. BFA focuses on developing technical skills and creative thinking, while MFA emphasizes advanced studio practice, conceptual development, research, and professional engagement. Both degrees open doors to diverse and rewarding creative careers.

Eligibility Criteria

Minimum percentage and others criteria for admission will be as per UGC/ Concerned Regulatory Bodies.

  • 10+2 or its equivalent.

For International Students

  • Rule framed by University Grants Commission (UGC) and notified in its website www.ugc.ac.in will be followed for deciding the eligibility and admission of International students to various courses offered in Om Sterling Global University, Hisar.
