Three Days Faculty Development Programme began today i.e. 21st January 2020 which is organized by Om Sterling Global University, Hisar during 21st-23rd January 2020. The theme of FDP is “Transition from Teaching to Learning”. The programme was inaugurated by Hon’ble Chancellor Dr Punit Goyal & Hon’ble Pro-Chancellor Dr Punam Goyal.

The faculties of OSGU along with faculties of nearby colleges & university participated in the programme. While addressing the programme Hon’ble Chancellor Said, “It’s high time today to evolve yourself, with the culture of open education on e Platforms & internet is fading what we have learnt & to keep up with the industry we need to be creative to deliver more to our students”. Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Devendra Pathak said, “In this internet age and it’s an era of disruptive learning & with so many online learning options we should be open to such programmes and we must update our selves else we will extinct”.

The Keynote Lecture was delivered by Prof. (Dr.) Devendra Pathak & Keynote Speaker today was Prof. (Dr.) S. D. Pandey & the faculty along with Non Teaching members of the University attended the FDP. The programme is convened by Dr S. D. Pandey, Dean, School of Engineering & Technology, Om Sterling Global University, Hisar.

The session tomorrow shall be addressed by Dr. (Brig.) Sunil Moudgil as Cheif Guest & Keynote Lecture & along with him Keynote speaker shall be Prof. (Dr.) Kanwal Handa & Dr Vijaya Khatri.

Day Two: On the 2nd Day of Faculty Development Program organized by Om Sterling Global University, Hisar the sessions i.e. Morning & Evening were chaired by Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Devendra Pathak. Today the Guests were the Brig. (Dr.) Moudgil & Prof. (Dr.) S.K. Dutta.

Brig. (Dr.) Moudgil is an IIT BHU Alumni, Doctorate in Management, Author, Motivational Speaker, CEO & Founder of Moudgil Learning & Development Solutions. While addressing faculties & attendees he focused on the 11 reasons for being a better teacher such as who enjoys teaching, who makes a difference, who spreads positivity, who gets connected, who gives 100%, who stays organized, who is open minded, who have standards, who finds inspiration, who embrace changes, who creates reflection.

Teaching starts with learning & by making connections with students. To deliver more one has to be open-minded, open to possibilities for the development of self to be a better teacher.

During the evening session, the keynote lecture was delivered by Prof. (Dr.) S. K. Dutta from IIM Calcutta and while addressing the attendees he shared his real-life experience & said, “The first job of a teacher is to engage students & role of activity-based learning, outdoor activities, application-based teaching, and social media connection with students for more engagement and active learning”.

On Day Three tomorrow, the keynote speaker shall be Prof. (Dr.) Kanwal  Handa & the Chief Guest shall be Prof. (Dr.) Tankeshwar Kumar Ji,  Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, GJSU&T Hisar for the valedictory ceremony.

Day Three: On the last day of the Three Days Faculty Development Programme which was organized by Om Sterling Global University, Hisar during 21st – 23rd January 2020 with a theme of “Transition from Teaching to Learning”. Today the Chief Guest was Prof. (Dr.) Tankeshwar Kumar, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, GJUS &T Hisar. To mark the beginning of day three the Chief Guest Dr Tankeshwar along with Hon’ble Chancellor Dr Punit Goyal, Hon’ble Pro-Chancellor Dr Punam Goyal, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Emeritus Prof. (Dr.) Devendra Pathak along with the convener of the FDP programme Prof. (Dr.) S. D. Pandey, Dean, School of Engineering & Technology, #OSGU Hisar planted a tree to mark the day.

Dr. Tankeshwar while addressing the participants said, “Teacher needs to provide an opportunity for students to learn & evolve themselves with practical learning. Let the students learn through practical exposure, experiments & output-oriented teaching is required”.

During the programme, the stage was conducted by Adv. Neeraj Taneja & Certificates were given by the Chief Guest along with the dignitaries of the University to the participants. Vote of thanks was given by Prof. (Dr.) S. D. Pandey at the end of the program.
