Master of Library and Information Science is a 1-year full-time postgraduate program at Om Sterling Global University. This Master’s degree program is taught here to convey the students via understanding about the philosophy of Library Science, its basic principles, fundamental laws and social impact, and to educate students about the professional ethics of librarianship.

The Master of Library and Information Science program will equip the students with the fundamental understanding about the various concepts of Library Management System and the related practices followed in University & College libraries. The students will be get familiarized with the development of Public Library System and the major Applications of ICT in Libraries and Information Centers and related issues affecting their implementation. The programme of Master of Library and Information Science will make the students competent enough of being gainfully employed in various sectors as Library Administrator, Research analyst, Cataloguer, Library Assistant, archivist, as well as opting for higher studies and research. The programme of Library Science will enable the students to develop the skills of information processing, organization and retrieval.

For International Students
- Rule framed by University Grants Commission (UGC) and notified in its website www.ugc.ac.in will be followed for deciding the eligibility and admission of International students to various courses offered in Om Sterling Global University, Hisar.
