AICTE -GRADUATE / POST GRADUATE (PG) SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME (B. Tech/M. Tech)

Objectives

AICTE in order to ensure development of technical education in India awards Post Graduate Scholarship of Rs. 12,400/- per month to full-time GATE/GPAT qualified students admitted to AICTE approved post graduate programs in AICTE approved Institutions/ University Departments.

Amount of Scholarship:

The Scholarship under the scheme is Rs. 12,400/- per month per student.

Duration:

The Scholarship is tenable for 24 months or for the duration of the course i.e. from the date of commencement of classes till the date of completion of the classes whichever is lower and is not extendable under any circumstances.

Eligibility for Scholarship:

Graduate Scholarship is entitled only to those students

i) Having a valid GPAT score at the time of admission.
ii) Must be admitted as a full-time scholar.
iii) Admitted in AICTE approved Institutions / University Departments.
iv) Admitted in AICTE approved programs viz. Master of Engineering, Master of Technology, Master of Architecture and Master of Pharmacy programs.

Post Graduate Scholarship is entitled only to those students

i) Having a valid GATE/ GPAT score at the time of admission.
ii) Must be admitted as a full-time scholar.
iii) Admitted in AICTE approved Institutions / University Departments.
iv) Admitted in AICTE approved programs viz. Master of Engineering, Master of Technology, Master of Architecture and Master of Pharmacy programs.

AICTE – SWANATH SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME

OBJECTIVE

The Scheme is being implemented by AICTE to provide encouragement and support to orphans, wards of parents died due to Covid-19, wards of Armed Forces and Central Paramilitary Forces martyred in action (Shaheed) to pursue education. This is an attempt to give every such child, an opportunity to study further and prepare for a successful future through education in AICTE Approved institutions and courses.

AMOUNT OF SCHOLARSHIP:

Rs. 50,000/- per annum for every year of study i.e. maximum 4 years for first year admitted Degree students and maximum 3 years for Diploma Students as lump sum amount towards payment of college fee, purchase of computer, stationeries, books, equipment, software etc. No other additional grant will be payable in lieu of hostel charges and medical charges etc. In case student is currently studying in the 2nd/ 3rd/ 4th year at degree level, the duration of the scholarship will be reduced to 3/2/1 year respectively. Similarly, for students currently studying in the 2nd/ 3rd year at diploma level, the duration of the scholarship will be reduced to 2/1 year respectively.

ELIGIBILITY FOR SCHOLARSHIP:

1) The candidate should be from any one of the following categories:
(i) Orphan
OR
(ii) Either or both parents died due to Covid 19
OR
(iii) Wards of Armed Forces and Central Paramilitary Forces martyred in action (Shaheed)
AND
2) Family income from all sources should not be more than Rs. 8 lakh per annum during the financial year of the application. A valid income certificate issued by State/UT Government is to be enclosed.
AND
3) The candidate should be currently studying in the AICTE Approved institutions and courses at Degree level in regular mode (in 1st /2nd / 3rd /4th year).
Note: Students who are satisfying conditions at S. No. 1, 2 & 3 above are only eligible for this scholarship

AICTE – PRAGATI SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME FOR GIRL STUDENTS

OBJECTIVE

Scheme being implemented by AICTE aimed at providing assistance for advancement of Girls pursuing technical education. Education is one of the most important means of empowering women with the knowledge, skill and self-confidence necessary to participate fully in the development process. This is an attempt to give young women the opportunity to further her education and prepare for a successful future by “Empowering Women through Technical Education”.

 ELIGIBILITY FOR SCHOLARSHIP:

1) The girl candidate should be admitted to First year of Degree level course
OR
Second year of Degree level course through lateral entry in any of the AICTE approved Institution of respective year.
2) Maximum two girl child per family are eligible.
3) Family income from all sources should not be more than Rs. 8 lakh per annum during the current financial year. A valid income certificate issued by State/ UT Government need to be enclosed.

AMOUNT OF SCHOLARSHIP:

2) No documentary proof need to be attached for the above while availing benefits.

OSGU Special Scholarship Scheme

  • OSGU-SAT
    In the next era of globalisation, the system of learning and admission is becoming more complex. Here comes the role of women-specific scholarships that encourages them to counter their financial constraints and pursue academic and career opportunities.
    • For International Girls Child
      International girls’ scholarship is intended to promote better education and opportunities for women who are still in contact with their spouses on different socio-economic parameters. Nevertheless, if women have an opportunity, either professionally or academically, they do not lag behind men. This is the role of international girls child scholarships that encourage them to address their financial limitations and to pursue academic opportunities and career opportunities.

Special Scholarship Scheme for North Eastern Region

Objective

The objectives of the Special Scholarship Scheme for North Eastern Region are:

  1. To provide equal opportunities for higher studies in NE Region.
  2. To increase the Gross Enrolment Ratio (GER) in NE Region.
  3. To focus more on professional education in NE Region.
  4. Optimum utilization of NER Budgetary Allocation.

It is envisaged to provide ten thousand (10,000) fresh scholarships every year beginning from the academic year 2014-15 for general degree courses, technical and professional courses, including medical and para-medical courses.

Eligibility

  1. Students with domicile of NER who have passed Class XII or equivalent exam from a school situated within NER through any recognized Board of Education, including Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE), National institute of open Schooling (NIOS) within NER only, and have secured admission in general degree course, technical and professional courses including medical and paramedical courses (Integrated courses included) in Universities/Colleges/Institutions recognized as under
  • A) A) Universities/Institutions/Colleges included under Section 2(f) and 12 (B) of UGC Act.
  • B) Deemed to be Universities included under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956 and eligible to receive grants-in-aid from UGC.
  • C) Universities/Institutions/Colleges funded by Central / State Government.
  • D) Institutes of National Importance.
  • E) Institutions recognized by other Statutory councils within as well as outside
  • 2) Only first year Under-graduate students are eligible to apply for the scholarship.
  • 3) For integrated degree courses the scholarship will be tenable for the complete duration of the course. For dual degree courses the scholarship shall be tenable for the first degree only. The university shall clarify it while recommending a candidate for scholarship.
  • 4) For availing scholarship under this scheme, the income of the parents of the student should not exceed Rs.4.5 lakh per annum.
  • 5) Transgender candidates are eligible to apply under the scheme. The reservation shall be followed as per Government of India norms.

Exclusions

The following shall not be eligible under this scheme –

  1. Students pursuing courses/programs through Open Universities.
  2. Students already availing scholarship for pursuing the Undergraduate programme under any other scheme(s).
  3. Students gaining admission through ‘management quota’.
  4. Students pursuing courses, such as Diploma Courses, not leading to award of a Degree.
  5. Students whose parents’ income exceeds Rs.4.5 lakh per annum.

Amount of fellowship

An amount of Rs.5400/- p.m. for General Degree courses and Rs. 7800/- p.m. for Technical & Professional courses (including Medical & Para medical courses) will be given through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) to the beneficiary student.
