The entrance test for admission to M.Phil./ Ph.D. programmes is being conducted on 15th March 2020.
Syllabus of Entrance Test
The question paper will be objective type and of 2 hours duration. The minimum qualifying percentage is 50%.
Written Test will comprise of two types of questions.
50 questions on research aptitude (MCQ Type)
50 questions on respective subject (MCQ Type)
The entrance test will be based on the fundamental and subjective aspects of each subject whose content will be as defined by University Grants Commission for NET (UGC) examination. For subjects (Engineering) for which UGC do not conduct the NET, the GATE syllabus will be followed.
Candidates, who have already cleared UGC/CSIR Exam/SLET/GATE, will be exempted from entrance test and preference will be given to them for admission. The inter-se merit of such candidates will be determined by their score in UGC/CSIR Exam/SLET/GATE.
