I. Overview

The Learning System and Admission Process have become more complex in the new age of globalization. To meet the need for the hour, OSGU has announced that SAT (Scholarship Aptitude Test) is the world’s most popular educational provider since 2019.OSGU is the first private university in Haryana (India) to carry out such a comprehensive test in accordance with leading Universities and National/State level entrance tests.

The SAT has numerous publications for different disciplines. It is one of OSGU most detailed and special online test.

II. How to Apply

Test Process
Step by step guide for SAT procedure:

  1. Visit SAT page as available on the website of Om Sterling Global University. The page will lead you to book the time slot for appearing in SAT exam.
  2. The candidate will be sent an email from OSGU containing a booking connection, userid/system-id & password once he has filled out the registration/enquiry form.
  3. Using the above credentials, the candidate may sign up and book his or her examination slot at the place and time of your comfort i.e. your home, cyber cafe, OSGU Campus etc.
  4. Candidate will appear for the exam as per booked time. The exam will be of 1 hr. duration along with 60 questions as per level selected.
  5. After the exam cycle is complete, the results will be declared by OSGU.
  6. Successful candidates will be called to OSGU campus/regional offices for a Personal Interaction.
  7. Appear at OSGU campus / national offices for Personal Interaction.

What is SAT?

Scholarship Aptitude Test (SAT) is a single platform admission test applicable to various programmes at OSGU.

What is the duration of SAT?

Duration of SAT is 90 minutes (1.5 hours).

How many questions are there in SAT?

SAT consists of a total of 90 questions.

In what mode does SAT take place?

SAT is a computer based online test.

What is the exam pattern of SAT?

SAT is an objective type test with four alternate answers. The test is taken to assess the problem-solving skills, analytical skills and language proficiency of the candidates.

How many sections are there in SAT?

SAT comprises of different sections for different disciplines:

  • Under Graduate (PCM): English Communication, General Awareness, Physics, Maths& Chemistry.
  • Under Graduate (Non-PCM): General Awareness, English Communication, Logical Reasoning & Critical Thinking & Quantitative Aptitude.
  • Under Graduate (Bio): English Communication, General Awareness, Physics, Biology& Chemistry.
  • Post Graduate: General Awareness, Logical Reasoning & Quantitative Aptitude.

Is there negative marking in SAT?

No. There is no negative marking in SAT.

What is the passing criterion of SAT?

Candidate needs to secure at least 40% marks to qualify SAT exam.

When can I give SAT?

Students can select a date and slot as per their convenience. Post payment of the application fee, the set dates are revealed to the candidates.

Where can I appear for SAT?

Can I appear for SAT exam before obtaining class 12th/graduation final year exam results?

Yes. Candidates whose class 12th or final year graduation results are awaited can also appear for SAT. However, their admission will be conditional, which will be confirmed upon reception of final exam scores.

When do I get the test results?

The candidates will be communicated the SAT results through official e-mail.

Is qualifying SAT the only criteria for selection?

No, personal interview also plays a significant role in the selection process of the candidates.

Post-qualifying the SAT, what will be the next step?

Successful candidates will go through a personal interview round.

What is the application fee for SAT?

No application fee for SAT.

How can I pay for SAT fee?
You can either pay:

  • Through Online – Net Banking/ Credit Card/ Debit Card
  • Through DD in favour of OSGU at Hisar
  • Through Cash at OSGU campus / Regional Offices

Is SAT application fee refundable?
No, the application fee is non-refundable.

Can I take the test without paying the application fee?
No. Payment has to be made to appear in the test.

Can I be exempted from the test?

Is there a provision for scholarships?

2. COVID-19 Scholarship for Corona Warriors

Future has always been uncertain, but the new scenario emerging as a result of COVID-19 has brought fear of drastic changes that affect us all. Not only has it caused an ongoing health crisis but it is also causing tremendous financial pressure. Yet in this battle against the Global Pandemic, there is a front-line workforce of physicians, nurses, paramedics, community staff, police officers, and many more who work day-night to protect our country. The people who survived this pandemic have put up a courageous fight against this deadly disease. In carrying out this selfless service of the frontline workers of COVID19 and the struggle of the survivors, Om Sterling Global University (OSGU) is pleased to honor its commitment by providing Scholarship up to complete program fee waiver worth INR 5 Crores to support the wards of these individuals in all the regular programs offered for the 2020-21 Academic Session. This is awarded as the special scholarship for the full duration of the program.

3. Scholarship for Dependent of Ex-Serviceman

This scholarship is aimed at supporting the technical advancement and education in the society by promoting the dependents of Ex-serviceman. The scholarship is directed in order to show our gratitude towards the guard of our country i.e. The Navy. The scholarship is offered to the dependent wards and widows of Ex-Serviceman.

4. Girl Child Scholarship for Haryana Girl Child

In line with the objective of Indian Government and Haryana Government, we also believe in facilitating and encouraging the better living conditions for girl child. Scholarship for girls in Haryana are meant to encourage better education and career opportunities for females who are yet match their male counterparts on different socio-economic parameters. Still, if given opportunity, women don’t lag behind men either in the professional arena or academics. Here comes the role of women-specific scholarships that encourages them to counter their financial constraints and pursue academic and career opportunities.

5. Girl Child Scholarship for International Girl Child

At OSGU, we believe that girls should be motivated not only in India, but also worldwide. There are countries in the world where there is still the condition for the female need attention. We also understand our responsibility of providing overall better place for the girls living across the countries. International girls’ scholarship is intended to promote better education and opportunities for women who are still in contact with their spouses on different socio-economic parameters.
