Programme Overview

The Master of Dialysis Therapy at the School of Health Sciences, Om Sterling Global University, Hisar, is designed to develop foundational knowledge and supervised, practice-oriented competencies in students to dialysis technology and the support of patients receiving renal replacement therapy in supervised clinical environments. Learning is intended to integrate theoretical instruction, practical skill development, professional values, patient safety, ethical practice and supervised clinical or field exposure, as applicable to the approved curriculum. The duration is 2 years.

Programme Objectives

The programme aims to:

Explain renal physiology and the principles and purpose of dialysis therapy.
Demonstrate supervised equipment checks, patient-monitoring support and infection-prevention practices.
Maintain patient dignity, safety, confidentiality and accurate clinical records.

Programme Outcomes

On successful completion, graduates are expected to demonstrate the knowledge, practical skills, professional values and attitudes specified in the approved curriculum for Dialysis Therapy; perform assigned tasks safely and accurately within their education, demonstrated competence and authorised scope of practice; communicate effectively with patients and healthcare teams; maintain complete and confidential records; follow infection prevention, quality assurance and patient-safety procedures; and practise ethically and collaboratively.
