Initially, they join any laboratory as a Certified Medical Laboratory Technician. Programme Objectives
The Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science, is a programme offered by OSGU that is drafted with the following objectives:
- To impart basic knowledge and skills involved in disease diagnosis with special emphasis on the techniques and interpretation of lab examinations of various types of clinical samples.
- To train students to work in conjunction with a multidisciplinary team for technical work at a medical lab.
- To pursue further qualification to attain senior position in the professional field and also to keep abreast with the recent advances, new technology and research.
Programme Outcomes
The Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science programme will equip the students with the fundamental understanding and skills related to different techniques of disease diagnosis. They will be competent of being gainfully employed in diagnostic laboratories, hospitals and health care institutes or they may also opt for higher studies and research.

Eligibility Criteria
Minimum percentage and others criteria for admission will be as per UGC/ Concerned Regulatory Bodies (National Commission for Allied and Healthcare Profession).
Essential Document required: Medical fitness certificate by govt. medical officer at the time of admission.
For National Students
- 50% in 12th with PCB.
- Admission on basis of merit of Senior Secondary (10+2) or equivalent.
- The student should have minimum 17 years of age as on 31st December of the admission year.
For International Students
- The eligibility criteria for all programs for international applicants are a minimum 50% in the qualifying examination and having studied the pre-requisite subjects for admission in to the desired program.
