Master of Medical Radiology and Imaging Technology is a 2 year full-time postgraduate course at Om Sterling Global University. The quality of medical care has improved tremendously in the last few decades due to the advances in technology, thus creating fresh challenges in the field of healthcare. It is now widely recognized that health service delivery is a team effort involving both clinicians and non-clinicians, and is not the sole duty of physicians and nurses. In fact, diagnosis is now so dependent on technology, that allied and healthcare professionals (AHPs) are vital to successful treatment delivery. The program aims to train human resources with requisite skills in the area of medical radiology & imaging technology who can be hired in all kinds of healthcare settings. The program makes use of modern teaching methods and a combination of the theoretical aspects of the subjects with practical reinforcement endow the students with a superior knowledge and enable them to discover their hidden potential, realize the ever importance of hard work and hone their intellectual, analytical and managing skills towards a successful and fulfilling career, supplemented and guided by experienced and quality teaching throughout the course of study.

Programme Objectives

The Master of Medical Radiology and Imaging Technology is a higher degree course suitable for graduates having experience in the technology of medical imaging science. It is specifically aimed at those pursuing a professional career in Medical Radiology & Imaging Technology. It is designed to provide specialized training in the scientific principles of modern imaging science and in the application of these principles in the field of radio diagnosis and imaging.

The objectives of the program are:

To equip the students with the skills and expertise in carrying out all routine and sophisticated medical diagnostic procedures efficiently.
To impart a broad knowledge and understanding of the principles, technology, instrumentation, recent developments and proper handling of the modern radiological equipments and proper execution of the various radiological procedures to gain professional competence in the arena of medical imaging technology and be able to embark up to a successful career in their chosen direction of Imaging Science research.

Diagnostic radiography is a fast-moving and continually changing profession, and long-term career prospects include clinical, teaching, research, management, content writing, MIT- artificial intelligence labs etc. The demand for qualified professionals is on the rise and the job profile may vary according to the modality and scope of practice such as Applications Specialist, Quality control Technologist, Sales and marketing of radiology industry, etc. Other Administrative posts in Medical Imaging department & hospital, Teaching & research faculty in medical colleges and Research Scientists in Medical imaging industry. The programme aims to train human resources with requisite skills in medical radiology & imaging professionals can be hired in all kinds of healthcare settings including hospitals, diagnostic and Medical Labs, Clinical and Medical Research organizations and medical equipment and device companies.

Eligibility Criteria

Minimum percentage and others criteria for admission will be as per UGC/ Concerned Regulatory Bodies.

For National Students

Candidate must have passed B.MRIT with 50% marks from any recognised university or Bachelor of Radiodiagnosis and Imaging Technology Or B.Sc. Radiological Technology/B.Sc. Radiography/ B.Sc. Radiography & Imaging Tecnology/B.Sc RIT or
B.Sc. In Life Sciences with PG Diploma/Advance Diploma in the related field (2yrs) on regualr modefrom any recognised university.
Compulsory registered member of NCAHP.
Essential Document required: Admission on basis of entrance exam conducted by respective university.
Medical fitness certificate by govt. medical officer at the time of admission

Rule framed by University Grants Commission (UGC) and notified in its website www.ugc.ac.in will be followed for deciding the eligibility and admission of International students to various courses offered in Om Sterling Global University, Hisar.
