SOGU Students Visit ITC Grand Bharat, a Luxury Collection Retreat, Gurgaon

Report: –

An industrial visit was organized by Om Sterling Global University (OSGU), Hisar, for the students of the School of Hospitality Management (SHM) to ITC Grand Bharat, Gurgoan a leading global hotel company. The visit was conducted as part of experiential learning to bridge classroom knowledge with real-world hotel industry practices.

The delegation consisted of registered students (list attached), accompanied by faculty members:

  • Mr. Sagar Sharma
  • Mr. Sumit

The university transport (Bus No. HR39F 1846, driven by (Mr. Jagdish) departed from OSGU campus at 6:00 AM, and the scheduled reporting time at ITC Grand Bharat, Gurgoan was 11:00 AM.

The industrial visit to ITC Grand Bharat on November 26, 2025, offered students from Om Sterling Global University practical exposure to real-world hotel practices. Students learned about Experiential Learning about all 4 major departments, latest Kitchen and methods of food preparation, catering protocols, guest handling and VIP guest procedures and eco-friendly initiatives adopted by hospitality industry and day to day operations in accommodation. They also observed professional and ethics and grooming standards of hospitality industry.

The sessions enhanced their understanding of industry expectations, workflow, discipline, dedication and teamwork. The visit strengthened technical knowledge, career awareness, and confidence, making it a valuable learning experience aligned with academic and industry requirements.

Learning Outcome:  

  • Students got the information about real Hospitality Operations.
  • Students were made aware about first-hand information regarding functioning of the 5-star luxury property.
  • Students were made to learn the Sustainability model and Eco-Friendly Practices of ITC Grand Bharat.
  • Students got insight about the Operations & all 4 major departments of Hotel Industry.
