Programme Overview

The Diploma in Cardiovascular Technology (CVT) at the School of Health Sciences, Om Sterling Global University, Hisar, is designed to develop foundational knowledge and supervised, practice-oriented competencies in students to cardiovascular care and technology, with an emphasis on supporting the assessment and monitoring of heart and circulatory health. Learning is intended to integrate theoretical instruction, practical skill development, professional values, patient safety, ethical practice and supervised clinical or field exposure, as applicable to the approved curriculum. The duration is 2.5 years (including 6 months internship).

Programme Objectives

The programme aims to:

Explain cardiovascular anatomy and physiology and support relevant diagnostic procedures within the approved scope of practice.
Demonstrate appropriate patient preparation, monitoring support and accurate clinical documentation.
Apply patient-safety, ethical and collaborative practices under appropriate supervision.

Programme Outcomes

On successful completion, graduates are expected to demonstrate the knowledge, practical skills, professional values and attitudes specified in the approved curriculum for Cardiovascular Technology (CVT); perform assigned tasks safely and accurately within their education, demonstrated competence and authorised scope of practice; communicate effectively with patients and healthcare teams; maintain complete and confidential records; follow infection prevention, quality assurance and patient-safety procedures; and practise ethically and collaboratively.

Eligibility Criteria

Minimum percentage and others criteria for admission will be as per UGC/ Concerned Regulatory Bodies.

For National Students

50% in Class 12 with PCB. Minimum eligibility and admission will be subject to applicable University rules and relevant regulatory requirements.

For International Students

Rule framed by University Grants Commission (UGC) and notified in its website www.ugc.ac.in will be followed for deciding the eligibility and admission of International students to various courses offered in Om Sterling Global University, Hisar.
