Objectives: –

  • Understand the basic structure and functions of major hospital departments (e.g., emergency, ICU, OPD, pharmacy, diagnostic labs).
  • Identify key healthcare professionals and describe their roles in patient care.
  • Recognize common hospital protocols related to hygiene, infection control, and patient safety.
  • Understand the patient admission and discharge process.
  • Identify common medical equipment and describe their general purpose.
  • Show professionalism, responsible behavior, and confidentiality during the visit.

Report: –

The total 45 final year students (of the Health Sciences from various programs such as Bachelors of Physiotherapy, Bachelors and Diploma in (Radiology, Optometry, operation theater and Anaesthesia Technology) undertook an educational visit to Sarvesh Health City, gaining valuable exposure to real-world clinical environments. The visit was designed to bridge the gap between theoretical learning and practical application, offering students firsthand insight into modern healthcare operations.

During the visit, students:

  • Interacted with medical professionals, including doctors, nurses, and allied health staff, who explained key aspects of patient care and hospital workflow.
  • Observed various departments, such as emergency care, outpatient services, diagnostics, pharmacy, Physiotherapy, OT and critical care units.
  • Learned about advanced medical equipment, safety protocols, infection control practices, and ethical considerations in patient management.
  • Gained understanding of multidisciplinary teamwork, communication in clinical settings, and the importance of evidence-based practice.

The hospital’s staff extended enthusiastic support, answering questions and demonstrating procedures appropriate for academic observation. Students expressed that the visit improved their confidence and broadened their perspective on future career paths in healthcare.

Overall, the visit to Sarvesh Health City proved to be a highly enriching and motivating experience, strengthening the students’ commitment to contributing to the health sector.
