Programme Overview

M.A. in Education is a 2-year full-time postgraduate programme at Om Sterling Global University. As one of the best M. A. colleges in Hisar, Haryana we are completely dedicated to render the best and highest possible quality of education to our highly valuable aspiring students. Here, at OSGU, we are committed for the holistic development of a student and make them have a glimpse of the future so that they can become a successful professional in their respective niche and relish a wonderful life. This programme of M.A. in Education is designed to equip graduates with an in-depth understanding of educational philosophy, psychology, research, pedagogy, policy making, curriculum development and educational administration.

The syllabus structure of M.A in Education is divided into four semesters with four courses in each semester. The objective of teaching education to the aspiring students is to render them the required knowledge of educational theories and practices, educational research, research methods and analyze data and skills in educational administration and leadership. The course of M.A. in education will develop critical and analytical thinking of the students about issues in education and reflect critically on issues like equity, inclusion, and quality in education.

Programme Objectives

The objective of M.A Education program is to inculcate the students with basic and specific knowledge and skills about English Literature and to expose them to the significance and applications of these subjects in our lives.

Developing a deeper understanding of educational theories, concepts, and practices and enhancing critical thinking, research, and analytical skills.
Fostering leadership and management skills in educational settings and preparing students for careers in teaching, research, policy-making, and administration.
Encouraging innovation and creativity in curriculum design and instructional methods.
Examining the social, cultural, and political contexts of education.
Investigating current issues and trends in education.
Developing expertise in a specific area of education (e.g., special education, educational technology, curriculum development, Educational Administration)

Programme Outcomes

The M.A Education program will equip the students with the fundamental understanding about the various concepts of Literature and Language related fields. They will be competent of being gainfully employed in various sectors like teaching, curriculum designing, education policy making, content writing, as well as opting for higher studies and research.

Demonstrate a deep understanding of educational theories, concepts, and research methods. Apply critical thinking skills to analyze complex educational issues and develop innovative solutions.
Design, conduct, and report on research studies that contribute to the field of education. Develop leadership skills to effectively manage and inspire educational teams and organizations.

Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria will vary depending on various factors. Provided below are the criteria that need to meet for the given course.

For National Students

Completing Bachelors or its equivalent in any stream with a minimum of 50 % marks.

For International Students

The eligibility criteria for all programs for international applicants are a minimum 55% in the qualifying examination and having studied the pre-requisite subjects for admission in to the desired program.
